Join us at The Greenhouse Innovation Hub for a discussion on Foursquare and the future of geolocation at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2012. While the front of Foursquare is a game with checkins, points, badges, and mayorships, the true power and value of the service is with tips, lists, explore, radar, and dynamic answers to the questions “where should I go?” and “what should I do?” Now with over 15 million users and 1.5 billion check-ins, Foursquare is becoming one of the most powerful recommendation engines.
This open discussion will be led by Aaron Landry, an active Foursquare beta tester who started testing with Foursquare’s predecessor, Dodgeball, in 2005. Come talk story with other Foursquare users, learn how to leverage Foursquare for your venue, how to effectively expand your brand awareness, get all of your questions answered, or come to hang out and get free stuff.
The meetup is free and open to the public. There’ll be official Foursquare stickers and pins to all who attend as well as a few drawings for official Foursquare t-shirts for those who check-in to The Greenhouse.
